Artist's Comments

For those of you who've asked how to close up a stuffing hole, here's one type of stitch you can use.

There are many explanations of this stitch found in various books, online tutorials, etc. Explanations of this stitch may vary, but the idea is the same.
This is my sloppy paintbrushed explanation of the "Ladder Stitch"
You can google the "Ladder Stitch" if this makes no sense.

Oh, and when you're done stitching & have tied the knot, to hide the excess thread....

Take a long doll needle (at least 3" long)
Insert the needle close to where you tied the knot.
Put the excess thread into the eye of the needle.
Push/Pull the needle through the plush -- make it come out at least 1" away from the knot. Any random area of the plush will do.
Pull the needle all the way through and pull all the excess thread with it. Trim thread where it came out (if necessary) close to body -- and massage the little tuft back into the plush by squeezing the plush a few times.
